Tuesday Night Meet-up Details
Got Kayak? Yes or no, either way, Aqua Trek invites you use your own kayak or rent one of ours for a Tuesday night meet-up. We’ll lead a small group for approximately two hours of paddling around the Everett area.
We tend to paddle in the protected waters between the City of Everett’s waterfront and Jetty Island. These waters offer an abundance of wildlife to check out and a variety of human-made features to explore. Paddling past the north and south tips of Jetty Island can result in conditions that are less protected with varying wind/wave action. It’s wise to dress for, or be prepared for splash and wind.
The Tuesday night paddling crew also ventures to the inland river channels minutes away from putting in at the Langus Riverfront Park boat ramp. This paddle offers calm conditions, lots of wildlife and a glimpse of what this area looked like prior to development. Generally, Riverside paddles are best at higher tides. Tuesday night paddles are meant to be relaxed and fun. We try to aim for conditions that will be accessible to all; however, the environment is dynamic so change in conditions is always possible. Whatever the conditions, our goal is to have fun, be safe and build a better paddling community in the Everett area. – Geoffrey Crofoot, Tuesday Night Paddle Leader.
